Beneficial Reuse of Spent Foundry Sand (1996)

Summary:

Spent foundry sand is a large waste stream, and has been successfully used in various applications including asphalt & concrete, compost additive, bricks, cement, mineral wool products, and flowable fill. This report discusses these uses in some detail, and discusses challenges to future development of various new uses.
