Evaluation of Compost "Tea" for Reuse Opportunities (1997 & 1998)
Summary:
Liquid runoff, or "compost tea", is generated during the composting
process and must be contained and treated. Samples of runoff from a
compost facility during three storm events were analyzed for several
constituents and properties to determine if the product would be commercially
viable. The product compared favorably to several organic nutrient supplements
currently available.
