Investigation of Blistering Problems in Recycled Plastic Products (October 1995)


Summary:

Contamination from incompatible plastics or poorly cleaned recycled plastic feedstocks can cause major quality problems in product manufacture with recycled resins. This project describes the detection and elimination of one source of resin contamination that resulted in blisters and surface delamination in a product manufactured with recycled HDPE.
