Ninth Circuit Rules in Somers v. Digital Realty Trust That Dodd-Frank Law Protects Whistleblowers’ Internal Complaints, Deepening Split on Issue Among Federal Courts

The federal appeals courts are divided on whether the whistleblower retaliation provisions of the Dodd-Frank financial reform law protect employees who file only internal complaints. This court says yes, but ultimate resolution of the question is probably going to come from the Supreme Court.
