Biden Signs Bill Revoking EEOC Conciliation Rules

On June 30, 2021, President Biden signed a bill (S.J.Res. 13) that effectively repeals the significant reforms that the EEOC made earlier this year to its regulations governing the conciliation process. The EEOC is prohibited from enacting substantially similar rules in the future without Congressional authorization. According to President Biden, revoking the rules "is going to help us hold employers accountable for workplace discrimination."
