Last week, New Jersey Governor Murphy signed S2374
expanding NJ’s Family Leave Act to allow employees required to care for family members during the COVID-19 outbreak to take up to 12 weeks of job-protected family leave in a 24-month period. The law took effect immediately and is retroactive to March 25, 2020.
In March, Governor Murphy also signed S2304
expanding the state's signed earned sick leave law and Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI) and Family Leave Insurance (FLI) program in response to COVID-19.
