Ashley Romanias Takes Over As OFCCP Director

September 30, 2025

What's New

While there is no official word yet from the Department of Labor, Ashley Romanias has taken over as Director of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, a key appointment that does not require confirmation by the U.S. Senate. According to her LinkedIn profile, Ms. Romanias began working as a senior policy advisor at DOL in July before moving to the OFCCP Director position earlier this week. Previously, she practiced law with several management-side law firms and worked on executive compensation matters for the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

Ms. Romanias has an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and a law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.

What It Means

Ms. Romanias takes over at OFCCP after the departure of Catherine Eschbach, who joins the EEOC as principal deputy general counsel. While we do not yet know what Director Romanias’ priorities are for OFCCP, we look forward to working together on Section 503 and VEVRAA compliance matters.
