Kenneth Wolfe Appointed OFCCP Director

May 6, 2026

What's New

Kenneth Wolfe has taken over as OFCCP Director, according to the Labor Department website and Wolfe’s LinkedIn profile. Wolfe also serves as Director of DOL’s Center for Faith, a position he has held since last June. Previously, Wolfe served in various roles as a career employee of the Administration for Children and Families, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Wolfe takes over for Ashley Romanias.

What It Means

During President Trump’s second term, the OFCCP Director role has maintained a relatively low public profile. Even so, the agency is moving several policy and operational priorities, including regulatory revisions following the rescission of Executive Order 11246 and proposed changes to the Section 503 regulations implementing the Rehabilitation Act.

The President’s budget also proposes transferring certain OFCCP functions to a new Department of Labor Office of Civil Rights. If pursued, the shift could require significant coordination to maintain continuity. At the same time, near-term change may be incremental, with priorities and timelines shaped by broader departmental initiatives and pending rulemakings.
