What's New

CWC has compiled a digest of state and local workplace laws that go into effect on or about January 1, 2026.

What It Means

The digest includes dozens of updates on workplace compliance items that go into effect in the new year. It covers a variety of topics, including but not limited to paid and unpaid leave, minimum wage increases, and artificial intelligence.

What You Should Do

CWC members may read the digest to stay on top of state and local laws that are going into effect in early 2026. Members can also track their obligations by using CWC’s State Standards Resources. Reach us at [email protected] to ask a question or alert us to a new requirement.
