DOL’s Annual ‘HIRE Vets Medallion Award’ Honors Several CWC Members

Several CWC members received the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Award. This Labor Department program recognizes companies that demonstrate exemplary efforts to recruit, employ, and retain military veterans and provide community and charitable services for the veteran community.

The award was created in 2017 under the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans (HIRE Vets) Act and is administered by DOL’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service.

What It Means

The large number of CWC members that received the award shows that many CWC members are supporting the military veteran community by making efforts to include military veterans in their workforce and by providing community and charitable services to veterans.

What You Should Do

CWC members interested in applying for a 2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Award should visit the program website. DOL-VETS is expected to open the application period for 2024 awards by January 31, 2024.
