What's New

CWC recently held its ninth annual Talent Acquisition Compliance Summit (TACS) in Charlotte, N.C. The summit, held September 21 and 22, 2023, brought together talent acquisition, compliance, diversity, and in-house legal professionals from CWC’s member companies to discuss practical strategies for managing TA compliance requirements and risks.

The summit focused on the unique TA compliance requirements for federal contractors, with featured presentations, facilitated discussions, and small-group sessions covering the latest legal, regulatory, and policy developments affecting recruitment and selection.

What It Means

CWC experts covered a variety of talent acquisition topics during the summit. Highlights included sessions on:

  • the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Harvard/UNC affirmative action decision on TA compliance, diversity, and inclusion by private-sector employers
  • the unique application of TA compliance requirements and best practices to the higher education community
  • the importance of developing and implementing an effective menu of applicant disposition codes.
