CWC Updates Guide to Minnesota's Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements for State Contractors

June 19, 2025

What's New

CWC has updated a resource that can help members understand the equal employment opportunity obligations that Minnesota imposes on state contractors.

These obligations are contained in documents published by the state’s Department of Human Rights (MDHR), including guidance, required forms, and templates for contractors submitting EEO compliance plans.

What It Means

Many states and localities require companies seeking to do business with the jurisdiction to either maintain or submit an affirmative action plan or compliance program. Following the rescission of E.O. 11246, many federal contractors have asked whether these state and local affirmative action requirements remain intact or whether they should be modified.

The answer varies by jurisdiction, so CWC will be updating many of the state and local resource guides that we have released over the last several years.

What You Should Do

CWC members subject to Minnesota’s EEO compliance requirements should review CWC’s resources as they work to comply with the state’s requests.
