While the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) investigates and litigates claims of employment discrimination under several federal statutes, most states have their own Fair Employment Practices Agencies (FEPAs) that perfom similar functions. Therefore, individuals often have the prerogative to file with both the EEOC and the applicable state agency. Many states, however, have different statutes of limitations from their fedreal counterpart. CWC's State Fair Employment Practices Agencies resource enables members to quickly find a state's FEPA and be aware of any differing statute of limitations period.
Helps members locate which states have an agency related to the enforcement of state anti-discrimination laws.
